You people know you can just go up by 500rc each time right? You could possibly get these much cheaper if you just kept raising it by 500rc each time >.>

Not necessarily. If multiple people are willing to pay a large amount, say >15K, for the items, then the auction will go to that maximum level sooner or later. Going in 1000 or 2000 credit increments just makes it faster without changing the final result. Although it would make sense to go back to 500 credit increments when there are only a few interested people and everyone else has been weeded out by the high prices, in order to avoid overshooting your competitor's bids by more than is necessary.
