Fastest way to get from Spawn City to Abyssus

What is the fastest way to get from Spawn City to Abyssus? My friends are all in abyssus, and I REALLY need to get there. I can't find a portal for me to use the netherrail. The subway doesn't apparently even reach Abyssus. Argh...

I believe there's a decently clear path through the nether, with a couple of spotty points. Have a couple of extended speed potions handy, and it's not too terribly bad of a journey. Remember that time spent looking for a slightly quicker solution eats into time you could spend executing a slightly slower solution.

The nether. My portal connects to a nice nether rail, and it takes no time at all to get to abyssus.

They subway does connect to Spawn city but you will have to walk to one of the entrances closest to Spawn city which is... umm I dunno lol. But I took it there from Abyssus just yesterday.
Actually the subway goes to someones realm then ends but you will just have to walk there till you can use the minecart to travel the rest of the way.
