Diamonds are, and have been for years, on average 80-100 creeds depending on the size of sale and the player selling them
as for the rest.... *shrugs*

I've probably slain this dragon before, but I recall the price of a diamond being around 100 credits for a very long time probably before the fortune III enchantment was added. And after it was added, even long after it remains at "100 credits". You would think the price would fluctuate. It didn't. Why? Because the price of the diamond is the most commonly refuted price (100 is also a very round number). People keep saying it's 100 credits. After fortune III, people kept saying it and it stuck around.
People are always asking what the general price of something is, and that's fine if you want to know how rich you are or w/e. But if you're doing it to sell or buy something, you're not doing it correctly. The price should be based on your own reasoning or intuition, not on an apparently stable "market price". People ask for a price and then determine whether they should buy or sell something at that price when they should be deciding how much to buy or sell it for.
Based on how the minerealm economy works, the "general price" of something is in and of itself based on the general price. It's contradictory.
More precisely, by refuting the "general price" of an item, you're preventing price fluctuation. I don't want to sound like dlgn here with an economics hat on, but it's just something to consider. I know everyone does it, but next time someone asks you for a price, just make up a number and see what happens. That's really all that should be happening. Make up a number you think is fair.
