buying 12 emerald ore, 3600 credits

emerald ore is worth 1000 or more per block. No way someone would sell you 1, or even 12 for 300 each.

if you got the price from monkey's sale, well he was just selling it beyond cheap.

Nah it's like 300-500 apiece. I could get 12 in 1-2 hours. I have like 14 ATM, but Im not selling.

Nope. It's definitely still 900-1000 a block. I sold 14 just the other day for 13k.
