Griefing in the wilderness

My question is:
is griefing in the wilderness allowed/accepted/forbidden/banable?
Since I was immediatly slain when I first entered the wilderness I started to build some kind of home on the second attempt.
Buying realms there isn't possible, so how safe are my house, farms and mines?

Advantage: No need to enforce griefing rules in a place where being griefed is nearly unavoidable.
Disadvantage: Complaints from people ignorant of the 'griefing is allowed' rule.
Generally, people assume griefing is a no-no. And having a part of the world where griefing is allowed will confuse many.
Some players take pleasure it causing other players grief. That just doesn't seem quiet right.
If it hasn't been decided upon by the MineRealm staff, I think it should be left as a poll.
As a side note, I hope the wilderness is wiped with every update to the minecraft map generation. It seems to be a fine way of introducing new items and biomes. If this is the case, please say so, Intelli, so everyone knows that anything built in the wilderness is not permanent.

It's the wilderness, it's meant for pvp and hardcore survival. I don't see how the rules would apply there, or griefing and looting at least.

Griefing is against the server rules. Griefing is not allowed.
The same rules as the nether apply.
You are allowed to break blocks in order to murder people, you are allowed to steal, but you MAY NOT destroy other people's hard work.

Griefing is not acceptable ANYWHERE, and will absolutely get you banned. We don't have a final word one theft, however, so for the time being, it's inadvisable, and don't cry if you get banned for it.

Theft has always been allowed in the nether, I understand that no one has given the final word, but given that its essentially the same as the nether I'm going to go ahead and say its probably fine.
But of course, as you said, its inadvisable.
