Clarification on Mod Usage

Hey, so I was thinking of modding my own client for general purpose, for MineRealm players specifically. I'm not really sure where the line is though. As far as I understand, modifications that do not give you an advantage over other players are fine, correct?
So if I were to mod a client, would it be okay to make any chat changes that I would like? For example, my first feature would be a client-side ignore player function.
How about something that displays JUST the coordinates you are at in a corner? You can already get this information with shift + F3, but it displays a bunch of other stuff that you usually aren't interested in. As such, I wouldn't think this would be advantageous... just convenient/cleaner.
How about a value on screen that displays your credits?

If you have to ask "Would I get banned for this?" I wouldn't try it. But there was Lizardcraft a while back that displayed coords and keyboard shortcuts for /credits and /realm.
So things like Inventory Tweaks, Optifine, and Shaders are completely legal because they don't give you an advantage in gameplay over other players.

i believe the few things that are allowed are mods like opti-fine, but without any weather or anything toggled off, display or co-ordinates & other info like credits on-screen. i believe an /ignore player function would be allowed, however you cannot mess with the inventory as that would be classed as player advantage. you cannot mess with player speed, hitting power etc, cannot mess with the visibility of the background & blocks, cannot increase jump height, things like that.
If i've got something wrong, i'm sure staff will correct me soon enough

On the topic of mods, is Rei's minimap allowed? Technically you can decide what functions of the map are allowed through some stuff with the MOTD that I don't understand, so you can just disable all functions of stuff besides the map itself and cave mapping, and maybe death point if you're feeling generous :3

Pretty sure it is all automated. All I really know for sure, is if you set off the swear filter in any way, you lose 0.5 reputation.
