Need help estimating

I'm currently working on the New Ebius Mountain Railway and need a estimate on a sufficient amount of power track to buy.
The lines is exactly 594 blocks long and perfectly level the whole way. I want to be able to get from one destination to the next in the fastest yet cheapest way possible. I'm currently working around 10K to buy track with so I gotta keep the supply to the minimum amount needed.

I would do some experiments myself to be sure, but i think a minecart with a person in it can go 16 blocks before needing another powered rail.
However, when going uphill you need more... probably. Depends on your momentum.
Always check the minecraft wiki as well. It probably has something on either the powered rail page or the minecart page.

I do one power rail for every 16 regular. It works out perfectly for me. Nice even number to count when placing track. That's 4 power rail per stack of regular rail.

I'm assuming this is a level track. When I built the Netherrail I used 1 power track every 37 regular tracks. In order for that to work you need to start with 3 power rails to get the cart to max speed. Anything more is just a waste.

The absolute longest space for keeping maximum speed (8m/s) is 1 powerrail every 37 meters, however, if you are moving up ramps, a shorter distance is needed, and of course if you're going down no power rails are needed whatsoever.
