I'm fairly sure that means the Minecraft authentication server is down. Not much we can do about that.

Tried alternative servers as well (not that I ever go on them, minerealm offers all I need these days).
Likelyhood is a problem with Minecraft central. Some lucky players have possibly logged in before the event.
Minecraft authentication server is down again.
Time to think of some other things to do.
