To spark some more discussion about them. I posted the poll to see if major opinions have changed.

Did you like them before?
If you didn't, would you like them if they were changed?

I sort of liked the country system before, and am glad that it's coming back.

However, for the very large number of players that disliked the old country system, I'd encourage you to wait until more details are released about the new system before you decide that you're unhappy about it.

Only people willing to waste 50k used them, so I don't really care.

The old system wasn't bad. The only people that didn't like them, were the people who couldn't afford them, or were too lazy to get them.

Intelli ended up agreeing with the nay-sayers and removing them. The new system will be beneficial for both the owner and the people living within the country. Intelli mentioned an investment system at one point...

This would be cool, but I wish there would be more rules and restrictions, because I hated those Exodian taxes.

Is this like a system where you "opt-in" instead of "opt-out" so it's your choice to participate in Countries?

Contrary to what the title suggests, no one has stated that "countries" are coming back.
