This morning at approximately 11:10AM Mountain Time there was an incident between two players who were PvPing.
Players Colour Coded to hopefully reduce confusion.
Player One- Blue
Player Two- Red
The said players were arguing because Player One allegedly killed Player Two on the RedZone at Spawn.

Player Two's argument is that Player One started killing him and he ran back to the RedZone to be safe and Player One killed him.

Player One's argument is that he hit Player Two back into the RedZone but continued killing him because he had hit Player Two into the RedZone.

I know the rules state that there is to be NO PvP in the RedZone, but there seems to be alot of confusion involving this rule.
I believe the RedZone shouldn't be a safe zone for PvPers.
I believe that if players start PvPing and on begins to flee into the RedZone then they are still fair game for the other player to kill.
They would still not be allowed to begin PvP in the RedZone.

I would appreciate everyone's opinion on this situation, including the players involved.
Like I said at the before, this rule tends to cause alot of confusion.
I would just like to bring this situation to everyone's attention in hopes this can be resolved peacefully and respectfully.

I think your idea makes a lot of sense. Running back to the red carpet "safe zone" reminds me of the time when there were annoying vague rules about nether PVP, and people could just run to the portal room in the middle of combat and claim that they were safe noncombatants.

I think that the red zone should only be safe if you haven't come out of it.

What I would be interestedto know is whether tp'ing away or doing a /pvp midfight is allowed.

/spawn and /trade and /pvp mid-fight are not allowed. I believe /home is allowed, but is still frowned upon.

Yeah, tping away and typing /pvp while in combat is allowed... Tons of people have done it.

Attempting to use the no-pvp zone as a safe 'base' is abuse of the rule, as far as I am concerned. You SHOULD NOT be attacking from there, or against anyone in there. Anyone who is trying to take advantage of the zone by going in and out is exploiting and I will absolutely call shenanigans on them, likely in the form of a ban. Either go pvp, or stay in the safe zone. Nothing else.
