Trying to login from school

Whenever I try to log in from my schools programming class, I get an error about 99% of the time. Sometimes I get lucky and it lets me onto Minerealm, but most of the time that is not the case.
Below is a screenshot of what I'm talking about.
Does anybody have any idea what's wrong or how to fix it? I've tried game.minerealm.com:7000 and that did not work either. I think it might be the schools firewall interfering with it. As well we have a Barracuda Web blocker running that blocks most things I try to visit, which also might be doing this.

a lot of schools now only allow you to go to certain websites. To make sure kids stay on track on their work. This is probably the case.

I'm ahead in all my work, my grade in the class is 100. Playing minerealm when I'm ahead in my work won't negatively effect my grades.

Intelli mentioned in chat recently that you can now use a different port that many schools allow to log in. I may be wrong but I think it was game.minerealm.com:7000
Please correct if I am mistaken.
edit:
*doh* my apologies for replying tired. You said in the OP you did this. Maybe I'll read the whole thing next time.
Good luck, though! I hope you figure it out.

I'm not a child. Also, chances are if the instructor lets them play in school, and they have enough time to play Minecraft, then they are probably allowed to go on it.

Intelli ought to redirect port 443 too. Most firewalls allow that port through since it's the SSL port for most web pages. I use it to get out of my work firewall and connect to my home computer.
