Last night I got kicked for moving too fast. It said something about speed hacking.

Intelli was the only staff on and he didn't respond to my /msg (assuming you were busy/afk, Intelli) so I wanted to post something here to ask the staff to please investigate before kick/banning me if you see me "moving too fast", as I AM NOT speed hacking.

I am building a water park near spawn city (about halfway betweent the giant toilet and the giant mansion).

The feature I am currently testing and that got me kicked is an EATS boat road style boat ride. Its extremely unreliable in SMP and will never be more than a fun ride in a boat park, not practical transportation. Lag affects it hugely and either makes for a successful ride, a broken boat at any of several places, or apparently it can made the rider look like she's speed hacking!

LM108: you tp'd to me at one point but then went afk. I was psyched because I thought I'd get to show you around my WIP water park, but now I realize I was probably looking suspicious

Anyway, thank you for taking this into consideration.

tl;dr version:
I am riding in boats, not speed hacking.

No need to worry, even the vanilla server anti-speed-hack kicks people for using boats during high lag situations (our server's software does it too), it has happened to me several times. It could happen on a minecart too I suppose but that requires more lag as minecarts are not quite as fast as boats.

I hadn't played with boats on my servers so hadn't experienced this. Makes me feel better
I wish boats weren't so fragile and unpredictable in smp...I am rather infatuated with the EATS roads and would love to build an epic water highway. There are some really cool designs with onramps and offramps and such. Maybe Jeb will make boats more stable in the future.

Seriously though ;p this has happened to me before, a while back. I was either falling or riding a minecart or something, and the server kicked me for hacking. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
