[Suggestion] Mod Request Command

I propose the.... "/mod request" command!

This command would allow, mainly newbies, to Request a Mod/Admin to check out a griefage, or to offer help.

It would work with an interface, on the Chat bar, for Mod/Admin's only, which displays anyone who has requested help, and when it was requested.

This would prevent "Is there any Admins online?" speeches being repeated in the chat, especially when there aren't any online.

The command would, also, make a senior member's job easier, having all Help Request's in one place for easy reference.

In the occasion that a Mod/Admin, is AFK, the message's to them, won't be lost in the chat bar, and be ready for them, when they return.

It could also go even further, replying with a "There are currently No Mods/Admins online", or a "There are currently Mods/Admins online, someone will be with you shortly" message, totally removing the need for these help requests in chat.

So, Tell me what you think, would this make Mod contact easier?, or worse?, Would it be a feature that you would like, in order to improve the response time? or have I thought up a totally pointless idea?

I've had this idea for a while now, I guess I'm not the only one who thinks so.

I vote no. Our system may not be the most efficient but it pulls through in the end. If you have a mod request it is more like you Are making them machines or tools for us to use instead of actual players.

I agree that this is a decent idea as mods are often looking for a certain players for some time in my experience, this doesnt turn mods into tools ands bots but it just makes their job a bit easier.

my main point is that it doesnt make anything bad or less than it was and it wouldnt hurt to give it atleast a trial.

thumbs up on this idea. :)

I like it.

I still remember one case where a road I had built was griefed pretty badly (someone spammed a ton of cobble, two separate 3x3x600 areas across the road). After several attempts over the course of several days to get a mod to help, we had the incident with the server's data being inaccessible... and when I finally was able to get in touch with a staff member afterwards, he said rollbacks were not possible for things that happened before the incident.

The thing is it is the Mods and Admins choice if they won't to help you right then and there. Remember they are also players. It may sound harsh but you are not the most important thing in the world.

It seems like the people with a higher rep 5-10 seem to agree with this command.

You are missing the point. All this would do would give a list of players to the mods and admins that lets them know who requested their help. This gives them even more of an option to choose when, how , and who they help. Not to mention if one mod or admin does not want to deal with a player they can pass it off to someone else. I have had many occasions where i was in need of an admin/mod and i messaged in chat that i had a problem and nobody responded because my request got flooded out due to a lot of people talking. If we had this system I could put in a request and know for a fact staff got it and they would help when someone was available or felt like it. Also this would keep the staff from being annoyed at me for spamming messages in chat figuring they didn't get it when they did.

Finally a suggestion for this is it gives the option to list what the issue is like /modrequest griefing or /modrequest theft. This way they can weed out the more important things.

I know that my reputation is at 1/10. The thing is I have been playing on Minerealm for almost a year now and it has worked fine for me.
