New patch, new biomes

So with the new patch coming and the new Jungle biome, what are we going to do? Another map wipe for the new biome, or are we just doing without?
Or could the powers that be (Mods/admins) force spawn some jungle tree saplings so we can go make our own forests?

I like the spawning of tree saps idea. If that's not possible, I want a wipe, preferably a full wipe.

I can't see why'd we need a full wipe just for jungles. The cats should still spawn in areas that would be jungles. Shouldn't really be an issue.

If we can get the saplings from the new biome, then I'll agree with you that a wipe is not needed.

A public realm wipe probably wouldn't be too much of a hassle, since the code for it obviously exists already, and the bugs were worked out of the system last time (e.g. shutting down the server for a short time to force chunk updates, rather than making players manually change them). However, since Intelli stated after the last wipe that the map was never wiping again, I doubt it will happen.
As for forcing jungle tree saplings to spawn, it's a toss-up. It would blatantly contradict the "legit" (no item spawning) nature of the server, and yet it would provide something that otherwise wouldn't be available.

Well technically, only the initial saplings would be non-legit. Any that drop from the trees after would be legit.

Spawning a few saplings is no different than resetting a few chunks to provide the saplings.

Plus, putting down jungle tree saplings will not force Ocelots to spawn. You don't see Mooshrooms spawning on Mycelium placed randomly in the world. That's because they aren't actually in the biome. Biome-specific mobs only spawn in their respected biome, obviously. And these biomes are based on the seed of the map.
There would be a new biome in 1.2 which means the seed would change, which means you would need a new map, or would need to update public realms to new the seed.
Eventually, with all this public realm updating, we're gonna get a very discombobulated map and mayyy need to do a full wipe. Whatever Intelli wants to do.
