So like, I've had my house for a while now, and I have a kitchen area set up with my chests and whatnot.

Well, i planted some trees outside, and one ended up growing into my house. Happens to everyone, right?

Yeah, you ever have that happen?

A whole chest is GONE. Disappeared. And half of another one.
HUGE hole in the glass.
Honestly, am I crazy? I've literally never seen this happen before.
Any help?

Edit: Btw, I took down that tree hoping it was just lag and my stuff would come back and my glass would repair. Obviously no luck >.>

Edit #2: Futhermore, why is it that I can decorate my whole house with paintings, and they'll be gone like a day later <.<

This has happened to me before. Tell me what you had in there, and I'll get you more of it. As long as it wasn't like diamonds or something.

A quote from the wiki regarding the growth of oak trees:

"While tree trunks will not grow through solid blocks, the branches of large trees may grow through (replace) any blocks that are not directly above the trunk, including chests."

As for the paintings, they're missing because they're being stolen. Paintings are not protected by the realm system.

i have been having my pictures disappear for some time now also, and thought they were being stolen... so i have been making sure that my house is locked up and they still keep disappearing, and some days it is even sooner than a day. this goes for all of my houses, even the ones that only i have access to. what's up with that? i have finally given up

If a player breaks a block in a realm they do not have perms in, they have a short time to break whatever's on the other side of that block before the block comes back. That could be what's happening.

<3<3<3 It's okie baby, it was just some wood planks in that chest, nothing I can't grow again. White wood in the other chest. But I was just confused as all getup!

Yeah, I had it happen once before... I had like 20 paintings in my hands, put up the 4 I wanted downstairs, locked the doors, and by the time I went upstairs I saw the big one was missing. I still had 16 paintings in my hands, and those four were gone. I chalked it up to lag, but I'm actually suspecting it was some sort of glitch rather than theft. I mean there were only two people who knew where my house was at the time, and it's far enough from spawn that, at the time, no one was out there.
