Server bug killed me at lvl 53. This sucks so much!!!

This is just insanely annoying. I had level 53 (!!!). Farming in a cave at a spider spawner like forever. Then got disconnected. After reconnect I spawned above ground and got killed by a creeper instantaneously despite full health. This is just so taking away motivation. Will anybody give me my levels back? Probably no. Will this bug be fixed?!?!? Please?!?

because I was not aware, that everything above 50 is not useful. But if I died at level 50 I would not be happier now

Yep, go pester Notch, Songtau. I should pester him with you, because my exp bar wasn't reverted to how much exp I had before the MR anniversary. So I lost it all when everyone was ghasts, DESPITE being told everything would be reverted to EXACTLY the way it was before the anniversary. Totally notch's fault, so go pester him. Send him my complaints as well.

This is precisely the reason why I always have armor on. Creepers can't really hurt me, and if there is some sort of glitch when logging in, you can either /home or /spawn or try disconnecting and logging in again.
It sucks that you lost all of the exp though
I was sad when I died at level 25... I can only imagine how much that sucks for you :S
I believe Notch retired from Minecraft or something.. so don't pester him XD And if you do try to email a dev (Jeb, as Intelli mentioned), be nothing but polite. They put a lot of work into this game and if you just complain, they will probably not even bother to finish reading the email. I know I wouldn't.

Intelli, thx for clearing that up. Actually I don't want to pester anybody. I am really happy about all the great work all of you are doing. But I was really annoyed after dying. Feeling better again though. Back to level 28
...
Does iron armor protect from dying standing in the center of a creeper? Or you need diamond?

Contacting Mojang won't help much. As the bug only exists in multiplayer, you need to talk to bukkit.
