So just now people are arguing over whether splash potions are allowed. (slowness, poison, etc.)
Could an admin or mod please settle this? (preferably Intelli)

I have stated numerous times that Splash Potions should not be allowed to be used on others if:

1. Their PvP is not on.
2. The potion hinders the victim.

If it does not hinder (Splash of Instant Heal) then it should be fine but if it causes problems for the victim (Splash of Slowness makes people slow) it should not be allowed.

Are you serious? If it is a pvp situation then of course. They are weapons just like a sword. If it is not a pvp situation then of course not. They are weapons just like a sword.

I am only trying to get a mod to settle the situation/argument.

If someone hits you with a harmful potion, provide proof in a ban request and they will be gone. Doing any other harmful action to another player outside of pvp like drowning in sand/water or pushing into cactus is bannable, I don't see an exception for potions anywhere. This is obvious.

Cerevox, he awakes for a MOD/ADMIN for the official rules regarding this. He pretty much clearly stated that.

There are already rules about this. In the nether everything goes so there should be no discussion there. In the overworld, if both players have pvp on they can chuck potions at each other. If one of the players doesn't or both don't have pvp on, it's illegal.

Pretty simple and logical right?

I agree with BSGSamuel its a similar case to the use of Flint and steel and setting players on fire.
