Map Glitches

Has anyone noticed chunks from the old map that were imported incorrectly into the new map? I've noticed come chunks near my realms that seem to be from the old map but are much to small to have been a complete realm, although they seem to have been owned once. Is this something that other people have seen and is this something that can be fixed automatically, or will it just take brute force to de-uglify the chunks in question?

Here are some the examples I've seen:

theres a 10 or 15 block buffer zone around existing realms, so you'll see lots of little slivers of buildings around. Not much you can do except tear them down where you find them.

While it is indeed true there is a buffer of 4 to 6 blocks around my realms, these random chunks are not adjacent any owned realms. They are only next to new map chunks.

My understanding of the old areas adjacent to private realms is that the saved parts of the map were entire chunks, rather than the 50x50 realms designated as private. So if even a single corner or side of a 16x16 chunk was included in the 50x50 realm being saved, the entire chunk would be omitted from the wipe.

As for the chunks nowhere near private realms, my best guess is that there was a lag-related glitch with the chunk-resetting code during the time before Intelli shut the server down to force the updates. Maybe some chunks sent a message saying that they had been triggered for the wipe, but were not able to actually wipe due to lag or some other issue?
