I had never seen a slime until 1.3 released. As soon as the server updated and I walked down to my mine, they were everywhere. I hate those dang things now.

every time i go back to my mine, there are a billion slimes, of which maybe 3 actually hurt me. ill relog and therell be a completely different number of slimes

The largest of the slimes are the ones that can hurt you. Any that multiply from the original large slime turn client side. These can neither hurt you or be killed, but they can move you.

Since 1.3 they were made more common according to the change log. Just sucks the little ones don't die due to them being client-side.
