How about an option for a map wipe, RC stays but realms do not?
I currently am voting wipe the map but realms remain.

I like how it was discussed. I will be really annoyed if I lose all my realms that I just bought to restore and never be able to restore them. I will feel like a failure (not that I don't already
).

The plan you already picked seems to be perfect. Realms are kept, thus preserving the hardest work, but the vast vast majority of the map is reset allowing any new features and blocks to be put into most of the world. Most likley the realms have already been mined out, so those won't even matter.
If the borders are expanded the map will be effectively 99% new with the old 1% being the structures people put serious effort into. Seems like a pretty good combo.

I urge you all to vote for the entire map wipe. It would be a seamless transition into Minecraft 1.0, and the future of MineRealm. We have wiped the entire map numerous times, and every time, it sparked new developments, it reinforced the server's community, and gave all players the chance to begin anew.

I voted first option, but I also wouldn't mind a full wipe if we get to keep our rc.
