Claiming a private realm?

Excuse me for making a thread, I did try searching the forums but I had no luck.
Well there is a realm next to my realm in Roanke that is owned by LinkToTheLast. Anyway, he's been inactive since the 06th October...
If someone was to go inactive on this game, can we claim their land by contacting an admin?
Because this place could be put to a lot of good use.

Realms become public if the owner doesn't log in for 30 days.

Thing is that even attempting to login counts as logging in, so that realm might be private for quite a bit longer than 30 days.

If the owner is banned for example: every time he attempts to log in he resets the 30 day counter. Even if he doesn't actually join the game.

It means don't even worry about it. I'm very well aware of that realm and as soon as it becomes available I will be buying it myself, ripping down the ugliness, and turning it into a parking lot.

But I wanted to buy it to turn it into a posh rental estate so I don't have to worry about my own realm that I've spent hours making.

How does this work with the [Donor] mechanic? My understanding is realms of players with [Donor] status are exempt. What if [Donor] status expires?
Ive been scouting a realm that is nearing 60 days abandoned. The owner is both a former donor and permanently banned.
Login attempts aside, will the realm of a lapsed donor ever disband?
