MineRealm Difficulty Level

Hey everyone!

As you should be aware, notch is adding a difficulty level option to SMP in 1.8.
What option should we select?

When your food bar runs out, one of the following happens:

On easy:
Your health bar goes to 5 hearts

On moderate:
Your health bar goes to 0.5 hearts

On hard:
Your health bar goes to 0 hearts and you die.

Vote!

Lol.. I'm the only one that wanted death :(

edit: Of course, this all depends on whether or not we will have the same sized mob spawns as now or the new 1.8 sizes (much bigger and more common).

easy, hard is too difficult to maintain food over time to stay alive. Plus it's just inconvenient. Moderate will be bad because if you run out of food, you are extremely susceptible to fall damage, or even one hit from a mob. No, I think easy will be fine.
P.S. Intelli, is it true we aren't updating our server until 1.9? That's what the word is.

The map will only be wiped after 1.9 release. the server will update to 1.8 when a stable release of bukkit is available and Intelli updates his plugins' codes. You just have to be patient. :D

P.S. I voted for death, it would be a bigger challenge and more fun experience in my opinion

That statement is only half true, as the map wipe is being voted on here:

just read the poll :P

I voted for easy. I don't see too many pigs or chickens or cows around so getting food would be almost impossible.

However, this also means that since no wipe is imminent, there is no longer a code freeze, and MineRealm 3.4.0 will be released shortly.

I'm going with death.

How to force slave labor:
1) Create new spawn point thousands of blocks from civilization.
2) Purchase all realms in 500x500 area; Surround area with walls.
3) Create giant roof over 500x500 area; Goodbye passive mobs!
4) Sell food/passports for large amounts of credits.
5) Need credits? Convenient strip mine over the bridge.
6) ???????
7) Profit from new death spleef arena and mass amounts of cobblestone.
