Hey everyone,

As you all know, we were planning on wiping the map for 1.8.

However, it's recently been stated that 1.9 will once again bring major terrain changes. Additional, 1.8 is missing biomes, such as the snow biome.

So, I'm proposing that we postpone the map wipe until 1.9.
Let me know you're thoughts!

Whats the disadvantage of 2 'wipes'?

Without a map change, most of the new items for 1.8 can not be found?
The new seeds for example...
I was really looking forward to them.
Or will they be available in some sort of store?

The snow biomes still exist in 1.8 it just doesn't snow in them.

Wipe the map for 1.8, and 11/11/11?
I can live without all the biomes, but I really do want the all items for 1.8

I also think it should be 1.8.

How hard would it be to do it after 1.8 and the after 1.9?

We would have to wait a while.

We're not wiping for both. It's either 1.8 or 1.9

1.9. Most of the 1.8 items we can get without a map wipe.
