Server downtime

Will the server be down more often because I want to keep my inventory in my chest in time for 1.8 and don't want to lose it in case the server is down the day of / night before the update.

From what I can see, the survival server is currently up. Also, for future reference, posts regarding server problems should be posted in
this thread.

The survival server has been crashing every night around 1-3am (EST) for the past few days.
I'm sure whoever is eventually rebooting it the next day is aware of the issue.
