Realm Down Payments

I was thinking that we should add realm "Down payments", as to reserve a plot you want to buy in the future. I recently realized that others could very well come and buy the plot of land that my town is on or that anyone else might have a home on and this could become a problem for others in the future.
Is there any way to perhaps be able to reserve or place a down payment on a plot of perhaps 2,500 credits with maybe 500-1,000 blocks placed on the plot. it would not yet make the realm theirs nor make it private but at least ensure that while they are saving up 10,000 credits someone else won't come along and buy their plot.
As well I think someone should only be able to reserve one plot at a time & that the down payment would come off the 10,000 credit cost.
What are everyone's thoughts on this?

The 1000 blocks you place in your realm serves as a down payment, in a sense.
If a down payment with credits is implemented, then the block requirement should be removed.

I've placed 1000 blocks in neighboring realms.
Doesn't meant I want them reserved for me to buy them.
But I agree, some people realms have been bought out from under them. A down payment system of 1000 credits would make sense, along with 1000 blocks placed.

The whole reason the realms cost 10,000 all at once is to prevent players from randomly and easily claiming any plot they want. Should a down payment be allowed, some of the more notorious trolls on this server could work for no time at all to buy out a plot next to another player (maybe has that player's buildings on it?) and call it his own. I just don't think the idea would work. You can farm up 10,000 RC's quicker than you think, or borrow from a friend. It's not as big of a number as most people think, it's just that most people mine for 10 minutes, rage that they only got 300-400 RC's and stop.

He did it with slightly more difficulty (unless that is what he took out a loan for, in which case I exacerbated it).
In any case, it would have been done far more easily if he could put down a small down payment.

But cats would have been able to reserve enough space for whatever he was making, so in turn the event would probably not have happened at all.

Bah. I meant to type "problem, Fuzz?" Stupid EVO update ruined typing forever.
I used hard earned credits for his realm, which ended up a wooden shack of failure. I sold the realm, actually taking a 1k credit loss in the name of trolling and free lulz.

My point exactly. Btw kress, who did you sell it to?
