Rules Regarding the Nether

It seems as though we are constantly running into player complaints regarding the Nether. I would like to clarify some rules.
They are the same as in the real world. So what does that tell us? Griefing is bannable. Stealing is bannable. Hacking is bannable. Foul language / idiocy is bannable. Same rules as in the real world.
So what is different? PvP is enabled everywhere. By going into the Nether you are signing an invisible contract to agree to being attacked at any given moment for whatever reason. Spawn Camping is allowed, as it is in the real world. Real men don't need to spawn camp for kills, but if that is your strategy, have at it, Nancyboy.
Otherwise, go take a walk and find some players to kill away from spawn.
Anything else Panthers? Forming those alliances to fight a common enemy is a great way to get by in the Nether. Be prepared for a backstab. It happens every day from women across the globe.
Also, lava. It's very hot. Life lesson.
Also, don't ask admins or mods to port you out if you can't find a portal. If you are physically stuck somewhere, that's a different story. But if you're just lazy, don't try your luck.

Panthers, I feel we should take out the no griefing rule from the nether. The Nether is supposed to be a real battleground where you win or lose everything; you have to defend your supplies to the death.

I disagree. How would you like it if you had to get off to go to work or eat dinner. So did the rest of your clan. Or maybe it is the dead of night and everyone is off snoozing. Now imagine a griefer comes along and destroys EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE! This means your Fort, Portal, Chests (which adds stealing), and anything else you may have. I vote no to your post.

The "losing" isn't through it being destroyed, it's through someone else taking it over, like a militaristic hermit crab.
If there were to be griefing allowed, I would say it be limited to small time things, like destroying a bridge or chokepoint, or creating one, etc.

Yea, thats what I mean, like attemping to break into a fort, or stopping people from helping a fort under attack.

Kyle: hey connor, Nether truce?
Connor: Uhm, sure... *lets in base*
Kyle: *stabs*
*mdk, cogo, and kyle, overtake fort*
Connor: - _ -

This is why I try to take a neutral stance in the Nether. If I'm in the Nether I'm probably building "safehouses" by the portals or collecting materials. I won't attack anybody unless they attack me first. Even then, if they attack me first I'm at a disadvantage and I'd probably run.
