View Distance

So, at the time of making this post, I've switched the servers view distance from 6 to 4.
The benefit of this is that the client has to render less data, resulting in a higher FPS. As well, there's less client for the data to load, so people on slow connections will have less chunk delay.
The downside of this though, of course, is that you won't be able to see as far.
So, I'm leaving it up to you guys. Is it fine now with the lower view distance, or would you prefer to have the extra 32 blocks of view distance back?
Please ensure you test out playing in-game before voting.
For reference, a view distance of 3 means you can see 3x16 (48) blocks in each direction.
Thanks!

I like the new fancy plugin. It's very useful for spawn and places like the cathedral where there are a lot of blocks that have to load. But I can't try it out D:

I'm easy with whatever is required from a server perspective, but I will note that things look a bit weird now. Just stand at spawn and look around.
View distance of 5 might be a better balance between aesthetics and performance.

All the main buildings at spawn are still within view distance for me.

Yep you see the frontage of the Virtus building, but not the back. That's what I mean by it looking a bit weird. It's essentially rendering only the nearest 14 blocks of that building when standing at /spawn.
I'm okay with it though.

People have control of their own render distance in the video settings, now people with decent computers/connections have their render distance limited because people with less good computers/connections are too lazy to edit their own settings.
Does this affect server performance?

Yes, it affects server performance.
