My farm animals and animals around me keep glitching, or lagging out of their pens. Anyway to stop this? Is this happening to everyone or just me?

What are you using as walls? Standard wooden fence?
We had issues with just single high wood fence. Double high cobblestone wall are around our sheep, haven't seen any glitching in a long time. Around cows, pigs and mooshrooms we have 3 high ordinary cobble blocks, rarely any glitching out.

Glass and wood fences lol.
My friend breed about 100 mooshrooms which are now all over the place. And my chicken farm won't hold chickens. ATM I have 3 chickens in it....

The thing I find wierd is the pens used to work fine holding mobs. Nothing glitched out. Now the same pens don't work...

Glass is a no-no apparently. If mobs can see open land they want to go there. Chickens are fairly easy to control with flowing water.

That glass has been there for a very long time and has always worked. Now the chickens somehow get through it...

I used to keep my animals surrounded by fence and a glass ceiling. Once 1.5 came out half of the animals would always glitch out of the enclosure and stay out. running amok in the farms and the mines underneath my house. I had to make sure their enclosures were actual wood blocks. Now that I've done that they rarely ever glitch out.

Ya that sounds about right. 1.5 must have changed some mob stuff. 1.6 is going to be interesting as mobs track you from 85 blocks away making them much more dangerous.

Outside of single-player never trust anything to keep mobs in. Always have a 2 block (AT LEAST) thick wall of sold, non-fence type, block around the pen. Just a general precaution because there will ALWAYS be glitches on SMP and there is nothing you nor Intelli can do about that. Just play it safe
