I had a diamond pick, diamond shovel, and diamond sword all disappear seemingly randomly. The hp bar for the tools was at least 95% (if not showing at all).

When my first tool disappeared I threw down my other tools, in an attempt to do that repair trick just in case the HP bars were bugged. Shortly after I lost the other 2 tools.

I noticed that you (Intelli) have a post on hey0 about a tool hp plugin you put together, so maybe it is related.

Nope, haven't used/tested my plugin at all on the survival server =]
I'll look in to it though. Probably just a beta issue that notch will need to fix.

Diamond tool wear indicator is bugged. Usually it will show no wear at all. They will just instantly disappear when they have been fully used. It's not random, it happens after they are worn out. I notice sometimes if you mess with your inventory the actual wear will show. There is also a bug when dropping things you might get a duplicate, and the duplicate wears out immediately on first use.
