i have voted. now make the votes the law.

I fail to see either the benefit or method in which you can pay bunches of diamonds for a realm.
if you have no realm, how do you get 100 diamonds, someone can just break my chest and steal them, then flood it with lava, delete the spawn block, nobody can ever tell who took it.
why not just make sure people start at a small size, 30x30, so that you can only a small area taken up.

or do you mean that big realms never die???
if larger realms never died, they might eventually be abandoned, or the players might be banned.
other than that, sounds good if big realms never go away. no mile city incident, certainly no Terra Celestis incident.

hmm, all nether portals lead to nether spawn? do all nether portals in the nether lead to earth spawn?

Yeah... now that I re-read that is sounds funny.

It was a add-on to the time thing.
Something like this:

If realm a is smaller than 150 and no one has played in 2 weeks the realm gets destroyed.
