Title says it all. I've seen some pretty weird names during my time playing Minecraft and wanted to see how all of you came to get your Minecraft names.

Third thread I've seen, but it never really gets old.

I'm a pokemon fanatic. Sceptile, Nat Dex #254 was the theme for my first game accounts, email, and yes, MC.

Mine is insanely boring. And stupid.

I use jackavsfan for most of my usernames. At the time I made my Minecraft account, I didn't even know multiplayer existed and I wasn't thinking about an IGN. If I had realized my account name would be my IGN, I would have at least capitalized it (JackAvsFan so people would understand that it's actually 3 words) or maybe even used a different name. Like Flying_Doorknob. I've used that for an IGN before.

EDIT: Oh and to actually explain my name,

Jack = My name.
Avs = Avalanche, the hockey team that I'm a fan of.
Fan = Indicates that I am indeed a fan of the aforementioned hockey team.

Cube - I am a beast with Rubik's "Cubes" / twisty puzzles.
Guy - I am a male
314 - I like pi. (I have over 100 digits of pi memorized)

My friend bought Minecraft as a gift for me. When we were looking for a username, I went to go to the restroom. While I was in there he entered RickRolld as the name. It was already taken so we were given the suggestion RickTheRuler. We took it thinking no one was ever gonna see it.

NOTE: This was back in the beginning states of Alpha xD

So, now that SMP is here, most people assume that my name IRL is Rick. It's not.

My username comes from my favorite pokemon: Meloetta (Nat. Dex # 648) and then just a random number (344). (unfortunately the number 344 is the item id of eggs. I have no clue how at the time the numbers and the item were connected).

Skylord_Fox came from the fact that (when it was actually on and continuous) I was a fan of the Yogscast's Shadow of Israphel series. My fav character was Skylord_Lysander ( I probably just butchered his name, oh well) and that I am almost obsessed with foxes ( or foxi )

My initials, as artraf, pds314, or kilauea2011 (my irl minerealm friends) can tell you. Or Roobean. I told her my name for some reason. She must have hypnotized me.

Well when I was the only one with Minecraft in my household, my brothers (legokrin and other whose name is not stated) watched me play and mooched off my laptop to play it when i'm at school.

Krin- the first part of my lastname, Krinberg

bros- indicating i play with my brothers

i use this username for everything, online accounts, Legend of Zelda files, etc.

I got my name from not being able to spell well. :l
