On the subject of realm/credit transfers from banned players

In the past, it has been very clear that the realms, credits, etc. of banned/permabanned players could not be transferred to their friends. In order to get their realms, for example, a friend would have to wait for them to disband.
It now seems that this general rule does not apply when that friend is a member of staff. Ninjalo, as we all know, is permabanned. His realms, however, have not disbanded. He still owns all of his realms - except for one. The spawn realm next to my tower is now owned by Chubsy. Somehow, the realm was transferred to Chubsy without the rest disbanding.
I know that the realm used to be Chubsy's, and that he gave it to Ninjalo. However, I believe that if I or any other normal player did the same thing, and we gave a realm to a friend who was (months) later banned, we would still have to wait for the realm to disband.
I think that this is very unfair to the rest of the server and is a clear example of a staff member having an advantage over other players. When I brought it up in chat, I was told to "drop it, it has already been taken care of." However, I think we deserve an explanation, and not just for it to be pushed under the carpet.
