Realm Borders Cause Deaths

There are realms that are private. I was walking along one to get to somewhere. I was moving my items because I am creating a new realm. I walked up by a cliff then accidentally walked into the realm. I got pushed into the cliff and suffocated. When I went back to get my items they were inside the realm and I couldn't retrieve them. The realm is figgots. I lost alot of stuff. This is what I lost:
9 Diamond Blocks
2 Diamond Picks
1 Diamond Axe
1 Diamond Shovel
2 Stacks of Coal
5 Stacks of Cobble
and 1.5 Stacks of Bones.
I know I won't get these back and that isn't the point of this topic. I just want to address the issue of how there are some glitches with the borders. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but if it has please post here. I am quite angry about this whole ordeal and I hope it may be resolved.

It happens to everyone once in awhile. It's a shame it happens, but the best you can do is look for the stuff and move on. Not really a glitch though, borders just push people. Same goes for the actual map border. I do know that figgots is close to Ebonywood, your home-realm, so you should have know to avoid it.

I think the realm border shouldn't push you so far. Only just like 2-3 blocks ourside of the realm, if that. Or maybe only 1 block outside of the realm.

If this actually happened then your items should have been outside the realm because that's where you died, since you were pushed outside the realm.
Herp derp.

When you die your items spread out. When your inside a block the items get pushed out. I thought you would know that.

The get pushed upwards.
Realms don't occupy certain Y values and not others.

The actual direction the items get pushed can be a little odd, owing to the south west rule, which applies in nearly any situation involving minecraft. Regardless, you now know that borders push and walking along the edge of a private border is a good way to die. Avoid private realms, give them a wide berth.

I think that instead of the realm border pushing you back at all it should be like you are walking into a wall. You just can't go any further. I have experienced something like this once or twice but always got most of my stuff back.
