Your Opinion on the Future of MineRealm #2

This is a duplicate of the old topic located at http://minerealm.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3344, and is to see if the general view towards how the server should be developed has changed at all.

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for your opinion on the following subject: How "vanilla" do you want the server?
I'll outline a few options. Please pick your favourite, and then vote in the poll.

Option A
Completely vanilla. You would prefer the entire realm system removed, no griefing protection, nothing.

Option B
Nearly vanilla. You would prefer the entire realm system removed, but would still like some basic griefing protection.

Option C
Basically vanilla. Keep the server as-is. A few extras, such as the realm system, as long as they don't change core gameplay. (The realm system is just fancy griefing protection)

Option D
Barely vanilla. Still nothing that changes core gameplay mechanics, but with the possibility for way more options. (A country system, guild system, button fees, etc)

Option E
Vanilla doesn't matter, as long as the server stays legit. With this option, as long as the server is legit (no items being spawned, etc (same as the previous options)), extra mechanics may be added. A few examples: Airships, elevators, additional worlds

Option F
Definitely not vanilla, and not necessarily legit. This opens up the option for items to be "Spawned" - examples are integrated shop systems (trade credits for items with the server), and contests and item giveaways of items that were not earned by players.

For option D, how much inspiration would come from Towny?
Such as taxes, mayors, allies, sub plots, etc...

I did at first pick E cause of the ather mod. But then I recalled the other server I played with Terrcanejones going tekkit, and well I lost interest in the idea cause of how everyone had to update to that to play on the server. I switched to D since it seems alot better.

The way it is is the best! The only reason people voted D was for buttons.

I feel like MineRealm needs something to keep gameplay fresh. Player run stores would be fun for a bit, but there is much that could be added and the inspiration is out there.

Proper events and competitions sound very fun, perhaps organized spleef with a self regenerating floor or something, just throwing it out there!

D and E both sound good to me!

I think that the server should stay mostly vanilla (option C). I agree with mitchie151 on 'fresh' gameplay, but that mostly happens with the updates.

I think once a month we should play a map, or have a survival games, or play in creative or something. Or having the minerealm map copy have all public land all a sudden, and pvp is enabled... Just for a day though.

With the shop system, you could make a shop system where the shop owner puts in items, so the items are removed from the inventory and stored in stalls. Then others can right click to buy the said items. This way, items are still legit seeing as no items are added (or taken away) from the server.

Minerealm has a HUGE amount of potential; however, it has yet to fulfill that potential. The quality of this server could be blown of the top if an addition of, perhaps, an adventure station where players can go to to sign up for games like Ghostcraft or Hunger Games, provided that all items spawned in are programmed to be lost upon exit.
