Should kevinmoon Ban Appeal?

So recently, kevinmoon banned himself through the swear filter because he overreacted to a joke and illogically banned himself.... (I'm still sitting here think that idiot is a huge idiot) We recently had a overly dramatic act with kevinmoon when he threatened to ban himself due to accusation from a friend. I talked with him, and to me, it doesn't seem as though he really cares that he is banned... Should I have him make an appeal? Or just let this guy deal with this until he realizes the stupid decision he has made? (Currently he is carefreely whistling)
I honestly don't think I should make him appeal... Being that he is my brother, and I have spent most of my lifetime with him as my best friend, I know that another drama act like this will show up in the future. I had that same feeling in the last one, and I KNEW that something like this would happen again. I would rather have kevinmoon first realize that he did something incredibly stupid, then have him appeal.
Last time he said he would quit minerealm and would only visit every now and then. However, the very next day after he threatened to ban himself, he was on and playing for hours in a so called "visit" and then came back the next day for another long "visit." With that knowledge, I KNOW that kevinmoon will not be able to resist the lure of minerealm. However, I do not want to make him appeal.
But I know kevinmoon is loved by many on the server, so I want to leave this open to minerealm's society.
NO, KEVINMOON IS NOT MY ALT.
If people would really like kevinmoon back, I will force him to appeal, or write an appeal myself and pass it off as my alt.

1. No, Kevinmoon was an idiot for threatening to ban himself and for banning himself; therefore, should not appeal, for he will just ban himself again.
