yeah, I can honestly say if the whole map was wiped I would probably only come on from time to see friends. I didn't put almost a years worth of building into this server to see it all get wiped (right when i finished a big project, i may add) so im for a public realm wipe with a command for each player to save up to 2-4 public realms or something if they've been working on them and haven't got the money to buy them. i really dont see problems with this, except the fact that the land might be awkward in spots.

So the land resets, but not the chests? Do you have any idea how odd that'd be? There'd be flying chests everywhere, buried chests, chests in the middle of the ocean...
And Intelli promised never to full wipe again, so we SHOULD be holding onto our private realms unless our leader feels like betraying everyone's trust.
Also, If you DARE take my realms, I, like several other people would, will just straight up leave. If I spent all my free time for the past year or so working on this base just to see it vanish in the blink of an eye, I have no need to stay. Now take your communist anti-landowner ideas and put them somewhere else, okay?

Okay, rant is done. Sorry if this seemed really angry, I just have spent every free moment I have really had trying to build this stuff up, and I don't want to lose it. Not intended to make anyone feel bad, etc. etc.

There was a (I think) two block buffer around each realm that got kept along with the realm itself. It probably went a ways into making sure people didn't complain (too much) about their realms suddenly being flooded with lava/water or unexpected passages opening.

That's one of the reasons I like the "one realm" thing. People could actually put some effort into proofing thier realms before the switch and we wouldn't have to include the border (which *still* makes things even more messed up on the surface)

It is ugly chunks of land. Even with a buffer of a couple blocks on each side, it is still an ugly chunk of land. It's going to be there anyway, so who cares? I like the buffer because it connected my diagonal realms better.

So if we do get a public wipe, will it be a full chunk wipe or just to a certain Y axis?
I only ask as this would provide a possible source of new dungeons and the chance of horse armour etc.

TBH I would quite enjoy the extra credits earned re-developing the land from the aftermath, and the chance to brush up on my terraforming skills.

The last time it was a full wipe, bedrock to sky. Only private realms and the two block border were protected and those were protected bedrock to sky as well.

Cutting it off at a y-axis would make the map look like even more of a mess.

Unless there is a new definition for "wipe", then sadly it would.
