Has anyone got any constructive solutions for the lag? I have seen a lot of people suggest lowering the player limit. I remember a lot of complaining (and whining on my part
) when the player limit was lowered b/c it was so hard to get on. The player limit was raised again.
Now the complaints are always about the lag. Which does get quite bad at times.
Intelli is trying to find ways to make the serve better, but his solutions aren't making everyone happy.
What are some alternative solutions that would make all/most people happy? Full wipe was outvoted. Is whitelisting an option that would make people happy, so that the player limit could be lower, but "regulars" could still get on? Is it possible to purchase more RAM for the server? Who would foot the bill for this? Would Intelli be expected to absorb the cost, or would donations become required? I don't personally know of a solution that would make everyone happy. I am grateful to Intelli for putting in so much effort. I am hopeful someone out there has a great solution, because it's ok to voice displeasure, but in the end that alone doesn't make things any better.
