And I now realize just how stupid it was of me to post this.

The problems is are follows:
Planes would produce insane amounts of lag
When a new update comes out people would have to wait for the planes mod to update
everyone on the server would need the planes mod

I'm not against this, it just has major logistical issues.

Also the alternate XP and party systems.

I certainly would be in favour of this, even if it was a seperate server like creative, we could have our very own call of duty minecraft or team fortress style games, might broaden the gaming community and cater a bit more to the PVP types out there. You could go further and introduce build craft and industrial craft with redstone enabled, but it would have to be a server with a smaller player cap.
It would be problematic introducing it to the main server, due to lag issues, which Intelli has done well to minimise on the main server.
