Hey folks,
Just a quick notice about a few changes made to the forums:
First, in order to register now, you must enter your Minecraft username on the registration form. This does account validation during signup, and having a valid Minecraft account that you've played on MineRealm with is now required to register.
Secondly, we've purged all accounts from the forums with 0 posts. This has been done to eliminate all the spammer accounts. Of course, this will have deleted a number of valid accounts - if your account was deleted, feel free to re-create it. Once again, this only affected accounts with 0 posts.
Thirdly, we've changed how outgoing email is sent. This should hopefully (untested) resolve the issue with people who have AOL email accounts not receiving the activation email.
The last change is that links are once again allowed in signatures. As it will now be nearly impossible for spammers to register on the forums, we'll be able to de-activate most of our anti-spam features.
Enjoy!
