Threads/Posts per page

Is it possible to change the number of threads shown in a forum or subforum, or to change the number of posts that show up on a page within a thread? I couldn't find anything of the sort in the user control panel, but it would be helpful to have (particularly for being able to see all of the unread threads on the main page, rather than seeing only the last 15 there and needing to go to each subforum to find the rest).
