Not for a while, as 1.7 is pretty major, but you can still play on MineRealm by creating a new profile with your launcher that has 1.6.2.

wasn't there a means of selecting patches in launcher without having to downgrade or creating new profile? Or did that go poof when the update came out?

Yep, its in the edit profile options. No need to create another profile. >.<

In the edit profile window there's a "Use version" next to a dropdown list. Pick something else, there, not "use current". :3

How do you edit a profile to use 1.6.4? It auto upgraded for me when I launched mine craft.

Launch minecraft
Bottom left of screen - edit profile
Option near the bottom with drop down menu - use version.
Select version of minecraft to use
Save profile and play....simples
If you use magic launcher its under setup options as Environment.

Can't log on after changing the profile to 1.6.4 as well...
