[UNBANNED]ban appeal: EpicBros

First of all I would like to personally apologize to the owners of the structure that I caused damage to in the Nether. I caused damage to something you built and I'm sincerely sorry for that. There is no excuse for what I did and if there is anything I can do to help the owners I will try my best to do it.

I have been on Minerealm for about 4 months now, I guess you could call me one of the "regulars". While I don't talk to much on the chat I will occasionally chime in an say something, often just poorly executed jokes. I like to think I've made a good impression on most people I have interacted with on the server, as I have found almost all of the server's citizens to be pleasant, friendly people.

What I did in the nether is unacceptable. Admittedly I'm more of a "builder" when I play minecraft, the pvp aspect doesn't appeal much to me, and I'm likely terrible at it. When I set out to go into the nether a few nights ago in hopes to reach Roanoke and Abysus to get some inspiration for my own buildings (and I must say both cities are very well done) I brought with me 4 lava buckets for protection. Now, you may be asking yourself why lava buckets? Well as I said before I am no pvper and lava buckets seemed like the easiest and cheapest means of warding would be attackers off. The details of why the lava ended up on the building are irrelevant, I dumped the lava in the building and am wrong for doing so.

While what I did is inexcusable I hope the admins and the people that were wronged can forgive me for what I did and allow me back on the server. To me Minerealm IS Minecraft. I don't know the game to be anything else, I have never even attempted to go on another server, I scoff at the idea of mods, and I likely have less than 10 minutes total time logged on single player. I am very disappointed I will likely miss out on the Minerealm 1 year anniversary but I understand the punishment for the crime. If you do permit me to join the server again I will of course never slip up like this again.

Thank you for reading,
EpicBros

Original Post:
Hey guys, I went to login today and discovered I had been banned. So of course the first thing I did was come here to plead my case to become unbanned. However I'm not sure exactly what the reason is for me being banned. Whatever it is I'm sure it is warranted for the ban and I will accept full responsibility for it. So please can one of the mods just let me know what happened so I can make an appeal.

You Lava'd a building in the nether.
The amount of buckets placed showed it was more than a accident.

Since its a public ban appeal and all that...
Judging from an uninformed point of view, he deserves a unban...
But the lava buckets showing it was more than an incident seems to clarify that he's a griefer and did it on purpose... I'd suggest a chance and being closely monitored? He seemed quite honest in his appeal... :o

I've known Epicbros for 8 years and introduced him to Minerealm a couple months ago, he doesn't spend much time in the Nether and certainly isn't well versed in Nether Rules. This lava bucket incident seems like a wake up call for him, and I believe he will educate himself of all rules preventing any further infractions. The road and rest area network we've built show his commitment to the improvement of this server. Other realm owners in the north east will attest to this fact. Please repeal this ban so we can continue to improve our fairly unpopulated region, and make it easier for others to traverse.

Thanks for the support guys. And Maca like I said I am truly sorry for any problems I caused. I know the apology in the appeal may have seemed impersonal towards you but thanks for coming forward and saying you were a victim of the lava. You seem like a good person on these forums and it really does pain me to see that someone like you was harmed by what I did. I hope you did not lose anything of value, and that you can forgive me.

I never got around to posting here, but I was the one who found the griefing originally. It didn't do me any harm, and was rather miniscule, but the fact that you lava'd it (when I thought you just broke a few blocks that let lava in) makes it a bit more serious.

It's been a fair amount of time since the incident, and the NTC Skybase is now griefed to hell and no mods / admins even dare to help with it (gravel surrounding it, lava all over the top, dirt and netherrack planted all over).

The player who did ^ that still hasn't been banned, and is probably off griefing somewhere else, so I'm surprised you haven't gotten unbanned yet. I'm sure you learned your lesson, just remember Pharazon and I spent 5 hours making that base and when we saw it griefed and a few people died in it, we were less then pleased with our eye-candy we'd created.

Being the player who asked specifically for your ban to happen, I think my opinion should have a bit of impact on the final verdict. I do hope you're unbanned, but that you don't break anything you didn't make regardless of if it's in the nether or overworld when you return.
