Ban Appeal: TheModernKillcam

I got kicked for flying (didn't know it was wrong) and now I am banned. If i knew you weren't allowed to fly i wouldn't of. Please Look this over

I have to agree here. The first thing you see when joining the server is the signs at spawn. If you didn't read them, yet you broke a rule well - you kinda shot yourself in the foot.

I guess though honest mistakes will be made, but reading the signs at spawn is a must.

Im really sorry, I guess I should of read the rules, but where are the rules located, I didnt see any signs. Please Forgive me

You've been a player in minerealm for a while now, if I'm not mistaken. How could you not have known flying was bannable?

They are in plain site. How could you NOT see them?

Because the vast majority of people just walk past them and completely ignore them. The first thing you do when you join a minecraft server is not find the nearest wall of text to read(and it literally a whole hall of text, not just a wall.)

I think spawn points should be equipped with soul sand floors so people can take their time reading the signs...

Actually I've been to other servers recently that force new players to go through a maze/tutorial system and answer questions along the way. The correct answer lets them continue. The wrong one starts them over again. Force new players to go through this system and disable their /spawn and chat abilities until they do. Then once they reach the end then you spawn them to a random spawn location. Add a tutorial at the beginning so those that read the signs should have no problem navigating the maze.
