Subject: Ban Appeal

Hi there Minerealm, I was mining in my realm and then an Admin or Mod (i dunno what you call them on your servers but hey yo its one of them lol) who was called Intelli (I believe) appeared on top of me. Now I was in a hole so couldn't move so tele'd home and he followed me. I asked him in chat (which had been turned off until now) what was up and he just looked at me and then next thing I knew I was banned for using 'X-Ray hacks'. Now granted yes I was using X-Ray hacks, however I did not know that it was a ban-able offence. I wasn't warned by him or told to stop I was just banned in a flash. Tried logging in again and your message redirected me here to this website if I wished to appeal. Have been searching around the website and discovered the thread called 'The Book Of Rules' and have been reading it for the last 10 mins or so ... Thing is I didn't actually read the rules before joining this server, my friend just told me the IP and to come join him. Read some threads saying honesty is the best way to go about appealing so here goes.

Yes I was using X-Ray hacks and caught doing so, however due to me just jumping onto the server and getting on with it, I did not read any rules before playing. I was not warned about using it or told to stop, but after reading the thread I know why I had been. Looking at 'TBOR' thread, I would say that yes it was Hacking (6.2), but was actually more of Obliviousness to the Rules (7.8). Yes it does say that obliviousness does not exclude me from my full punishment, but I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for my obliviousness. I hope you will forgive for this action and if I am to be forgiven and allowed back on, the X-Ray hacks shall be turned off and shall remain off.

They've banned over 250+ people for xray hacking, so it may be a while untill your ban appeal is considered. It's a script that counts x amount of diamonds mined per hour.

You did not know x-ray hacks were bannabel? There are signs right at spawn that say no x-ray hacks. They take 30 seconds to read. So, just wondering, why not read them?

Just spawned and followed my friend, was on skype with him so if I needed to know anything about the server I would ask him, but I never asked about X-Rays. All I asked was 'Where can we build and how?!' and then just general what to build chat once we purchased a realm. He would tell me stuff like what commands to use, how to get credits and how to give him my credits, how to pm other players, how to set home etc...

But yeah, I should have read the signs ... out of curiosity ... where exactly are they? lol

The signs are located right in front of you when you type /spawn, and also just because you were unaware of a rule doesn't hold you unaccountable for your actions.

Since you are still banned just go read the rule book, and it will explain the rules that you didn't have 30 seconds to read.

Still, if he went on the server blindly, and didnt even think that there may be rules, then... Well I dont know.

Edit: Also, there are signs in the spawn, how did you not even notice them? Theres one thats RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU right when you spawn.

Well, I was just eager to get on the server, meet up with my friends and get on with my creations with them. (Was hollowing out a mountain, creating floors from top to bottom, with each floor a different material i.e. Gold, different coloured wool, etc...) But anywho, guess I was just over eager, excited in joining a new server and playing with my friends.

Edit: But yes, you are right, I went in blindly, oblivious to the rules of the server and for that I am sorry.
