Hey guys. Yesterday me and my friend were playing MineCraft on your survival server. I had to go to take a shower, due to a full 9 hour day at an amusement park, so I let him play. My friend is getting ready to buy MineCraft and wanted to test it out. To my surprise when I got back, I had been banned! I asked him what he did and he said he didn't know, he was just digging. So I talked to my friends on Skype and they told me he had griefed the spawn-point! I am truly sorry for this incident and swear it will never happen again. Thank you for your time.

Sounds pretty legit, but we get this genre of appeal a lot. I am not saying its not true, but it does come up a lot.

Really, this shouldn't happen. I understand that your friend wants to try out minecraft! That's perfectly okay! But, because it is his first time playing, and he doesn't really understand the game, you should have had him play on singleplayer, probably peaceful.

I am pretty sure you'll be unbanned, but the Mods/Admins will be keeping a watch on you, just to make sure. If he saw your password, be sure to change that.

Good appeal, and just remember to be patient. The Mods/Admins have been so busy lately. I am sure you saw one of our great leader's (Intelli) advertisements somewhere. You see we have been getting a rush of new players, and a lot of them are hackers and griefers. Everyone's tensions are on the rise, and the bans section just grew 3 times bigger.

A Mod or Admin will come check out your appeal soon. Just let your friend know that digging in places that are claimed (Spawn City and other cities) is considered griefing. Griefing is the intentional, and sometimes, like this case, unintentional destruction of other people's property or land.

Offtopic: Also, what amusement park? I just got back from my vacation to Walt Disney World!

Thanks for the response catsfuzz! I personally respect everyones land, and I am not a griefer because I know how it feels to be griefed. I hope it all turns out well.

P.S I went to Worlds of Fun... its in Missouri... (I'm vacationing also ^.^)

Lol. Thats neat! I have never heard of it, but I don't ever travel around Missouri. I also know what it is like to be griefed. I had an unfortunate experience with a currently banned player, who was ultimately the destroyer of my realm at the end of 2.0.

I know what it feels like to be griefed, I just say "Who cares, its not like I worked on that very hard." And I just pick up and walk away. The only things I really work hard on is in Singleplayer. And I always just leave it eventually.

This is for discussing the appeal, not whether you've been griefed or not. A billion people have used this excuse, and it's getting repetitive. It may or may not be true. You should have known the risks and known the consequences. Personally, I think you should be unbanned. The appeal doesn't seem like a lie, though I may be wrong. it's all up to the admins now.

All I'm asking for is a second chance. If it happens again I understand the consequences. That's all I'm asking for.

well, here is a ban appeal that isnt total crap, so thats probably worth some points

Hi, Im sunamiwave's friend he was talking to on skype and can vouch that he was in the shower his friend was on playing and we were trying to earn realm credits to buy an area so we had the person playing dig a hole we had no idea he was at the spawn digging and he was un aware that it was he spawn and that it was against the rules to dig a hole my frined (who was in the shower at the time) had no control over the situation and think it would be wrong to punish him for something he had no control over thats just my oppinion. feel free to question me

It sounds legit. Lets all just be patient until a mod or admin comes to check this out. Like I said it will take some time. If you look at our bans section you will know what I mean.
