I was on a flying machine heading south on x:2, y:156 when the device stopped at around z:1700. I tried to slide my boat off to get down (because boats fall slower than just dismounting). On my client, I seemed to be falling with the boat. When I reached the ground, I dismounted and was rubber-band'd back up to the machine where I seemed to be standing on nothing. I was then kicked for flying. When I reconnected, I was standing on the boat that was hanging just on the edge of the machine. Then I was banned for flying.
I think this is a mistake as the server doesn't know that I was standing on a boat.
Suffice to say, I'll probably just dismount and fall the normal way next time...
And, given that these machines always stop before reaching their destination, I won't be using one again and I suggest nobody else does either.
