So now Jeff is unbanned, he joined the server and I logged on whilst he was on. Looking at the buddy chat Jeff then over a period of about 45mins:
- Swore 4 times
- Called the players of the server "trash"
- Argued and complained with people
- Proclaimed "Violence is good"
I have screen shots of him doing all these things apart from proclaiming "Violence is good". I would be happy to message these screen shots to staff but because the swearing was in buddy chat the words are not starred out.

are you sure he wasn't just joking around?

Jeff was talking in buddy chat, he can swear in that if he wants. If you don't want to hear Jeff just remove him from your buddy list.

I will remove him, but why are you not allowed to swear in main chatbut allowed to swear in buddy chat?

This has been allowed for ages. Even Staff do it.

I had a quick look through the logs. If we were to ban Jeff for what he said in buddy chat today we might as well ban 90% of the server.

Maybe I missed something so if you have any screenshots of harassment, message them to staff.

However, banning people for harassment via buddy chat seems a bit silly as you can simply remove people from buddy chat if you don't want to read what they say.

Anyway regardless, my mc screwed up and I can't find the screen shots so, case over

Protex, if you're using a Mac, and i realise you may know this, but your screens are hidden so you need to go to:
Finder -> Go -> go to folder, then enter: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/screenshots

that'll dig them out
