I purchased a Minecraft account in order to play with a friend Dugs30, and another friend whose account name i don't remember. When making the account i asked for advice on a name seeing as all mine were taken. After spending $27 to log in and only get banned from the server is very upsetting. i didn't think the name would be offensive to anyone seeing as there is no profanity and that there are no vulgar references. After a short time i looked into the name, apparently there is similar one named intelli that belongs to a very important person connected to Minecraft. i had no idea, or intention of offending anyone. if the name cannot be changed would it be a possibility to get it refunded so that a may start over. Thank you for your time and my apologies to intelli.

Assuming you are really two different persons I would demand the money from your "friend" who brought you into this situation.

To your question, a quote from the official mojang site:
"When you first create your username, the website lets you know that you will not be able to change it, and requires a confirmation. We do not yet support changing or editing usernames, though this is planned for the future. We do not have a set release date for this feature. Make sure that you choose wisely, as your username will be used for your multiplayer persona and is visible to others."

We can't refund anything as we are not mojang.

ok seeing as i have no other options, can you explain to me why you think we are the same person. i thought the ip adress came from the router you are using to connect you to the internet?

I just wanted to point out that no one here can handle your "mojang issue". All other things are above my class, as I am just a boring normal player

A player dlgn had a similar account. Named like Intelli as a joke. He asked the account to stay banned.

I'm the friend who talked him into Sintelli. I really didn't explain the situation, except that it'd be funny. I quote, "You probably won't get banned bro." Honestly, is the name "Sintelli" bad? Unless we all presume Intelli doesn't sin (we all sin) or even believe in god for that matter. Allow the man to play the game and stop making a big deal of it.

I'm not sure that is the issue.
The issue is that he may be confused to be the owner of the server, and therefore become all high & mighty because he can order noobs around.

At least, that's what I think the problem is.

I fairly certain he isn't even going to use the chat feature... He just wants to help me and my other friend with our mega-build... Is building not what this game is about anyway?

True i most likely wouldn't even use the chat feature seeing how we all use skype. Took me a while to even figure out how to type in the chat, i don't play to interact with other people i play because i enjoy the game. That doesn't mean that i ignore and am rude to people i just don't directly engage with them.
