[BANNED] Ban Request: BSGSamuel

I'm not trying to start a flame war and this is absolutely not personal, but I believe in a fair gameplay experience for everyone.

I just witnessed BSGSamuel intentionally snowball another staff member (VVolfie) into lava while she was attempting to remedy a grief situation. He admitted to it immediately in chat following his actions. Any player would be banned on the spot for this sort of thing, staff should not be treated any differently. As such, I am requesting him to be banned.

As a fellow staff member I'm not sure if I'm expected to support or refrain from commenting on this.

I do find it quite irritable losing packed ice, named Prot IV unb III armor, named silk eff V unb III and eff v unb III picks, lapis blocks, dia blocks. and my lucky sword:

So I'll just slowly back away and let my anger fester in a well secured ban-proof corner.

Just make sure he gives the two dozen realms he owns at the cathedral to someone else before and if this happens. We don't need those disbanding again. And I sold them for 1 credit each, so...

SeniorJub was banned for attacking Chubsy in the nether when he was "repairing greif."
And that's without losing any items in his possession to it...

Sounds fair to me.

Lies!

If I recall correctly:

1. You were pushed into the lava by an egg.
2. You immediately reacted and walked back out of the lava.
3. About 5 seconds later you fall to the ground, death by fire.
4. Absolutely ZERO items fall to the ground, so in my recollection you had nothing in your inventory when this happened.
5. You respawn and immediately go back to remove the lavagrief (which I don't see ban requests for by the way).
6. Not even a single word on whether someone picked up your stuff, not from directly after your dead until the moment you log off.

Number 6 is kinda weird. Pretty much everyone's first reaction after getting killed in The Mist is: "Can I have my stuff back?". Either you don't care, or you had no stuff on you.

Obviously there can be something wrong with my memory, so I might be convinced about the above stated things, while someone else is not.

I can't believe a good staff member has been banned over some inter-staff horseplay that got taken too far. I hope Sam is given the opportunity to make restitution and return to business as usual.

That's all well and good, but I propose the following counter-point:

How do we expect players to respect each other and the rules, when staff, who are by regulation all adults can't respect what's been established in the rules?* It sets a bad precedent to let such things slide, in my opinion.

* In this context I am using staff as a generic descriptor, not a blanket accusation towards all staff.
