[UNBANNED]Ban Appeal: Tyranitar140hp

I'm very surprised that I have been banned since I have just been working on a building in a realm I recently purchased and have only really left to go to trade or my home to get supplies. Therefore I would assume that this has to do with my spawn realm and possibly the new policy but I CLEARLY asked staff if I could take down the structure and items and was told that I could. I'm pretty sure I bought the realm long before the new policy was in place so could you please tell me why I was banned?

Anything you wish to add in particular relation to a realm you own located at x25 z-425?

I bought it and then got staff permissions to take down the building and do what I pleased with the items. I then built a structure on it because I had permission too. I don't see what else there is to say.

While Tornadic is the one who identified what happened, I feel that I can tell you that what you were banned for has nothing to do with the new rules, and involves actions you took in that area about 18 days ago. Are you sure you don't know what you did?

Now that you mention 18 days ago, I do remember removing some Emerald blocks from a realm adjacent to mine. I was confused by the way Torn worded his comment because it seemed like he was referring to something I had done to my own realm that violated some rule. Anyway, I was wondering if a sticky piston would allow you to remove blocks from another realm adjacent to yours and so, figuring it had already been patched, I decided to make few pistons into sticky pistons and try removing some emerald blocks from a realm owned by Darelle Zindad (or some name like that). I believe I removed about 20 or so of his emerald blocks like this and was about to go find some normal pistons to push all of the blocks back but then I had to go so I just quickly threw the items into a hopper (that could feed into a chest that Darelle placed in his relam) and left a couple of signs explaining that I was sorry and how to place a chest to get his items back. I was expecting him not to log on since he hadn't been on in a few days so I logged off, planning to replace the blocks later. Then, unfortunately, I completely forgot about it and now I"m banned. I realize now that this was exploiting of a sort of glitch and I should not have done it in the first place, and should have after doing this, at least moved the blocks back with normal pistons. I still have his items (unless they were somehow rolled back) probably sitting in a hopper or chest somewhere and will gladly return them. I am sorry for what I did and I apologize to Darelle and any staff who were inconvenienced by my unacceptable behaviors. I would really like to continue playing on Minerealm and I hope I won't be permabanned after several years of playing because I let my curiosity get the better of me and did this. Thanks,

I was fairly certain that this would be the reason for the ban, but didn't want to comment until that was confirmed.

I can confirm that the signs were there as Tyranitar says, and that the wording on those signs did apologise for removing the blocks and instructed DarelleZindad (who owned the realm at that time) to place a chest next to the hopper to receive the items back. The signs are gone now as Tyranitar has remodelled the realm, but the hopper is still in position at the south-west corner of the realm.

Note that DarelleZindad was only holding the realm in trust for the original owner, Taratsamura, who now has ownership of the realm again.

why do 20 blocks? if u wanted to see if it was fixed or not u could have did 1 block retracted the piston then pushed it back and broke the piston to put the blocks back I know this glitch all to well from when Ronaldcreeper tried to do it on burt86s realms a while back

Like infamous said, why did you go the full 20 blocks to test this? Did you just make a line of pistons or take the time to individually steal them one by one using like a single piston?

Even if it is true you just took the blocks and had to leave, you have had plenty of time to get normal pistons and push the blocks back into their original place. If it weren't for the fact that you left signs for him and that the blocks are waiting in a hopper to be collected I would have said this was malicious intent to steal.

It seems like a bad slap on the wrist would be appropriate here but a permaban over something like this on a dedicated player is a step too far IMO.
